Is your Toyota ready for the winter? If not, our service center can help!

Winter is right around the corner, and at Graham Toyota we want to make sure you and your vehicle are prepared for driving in rough weather. Here are some things our service center can help you with.

Now's the time to schedule a winter tire changeover if you haven't already. Don't have winter tires? Consider ordering them! You might be wondering if you really need a set, but we strongly encourage you to get them. The deep treads not only provide extra traction, but they also are made to better channel snow, slush and salt than your all-seasons.

Wipers can be easily overlooked, but it's hard to ignore a bad pair when you're in the middle of a heavy snowfall and your old pair are letting you down or actually making matters worse. If you're wipers are approaching or over the six-month mark, let us know when you come in and we'll put on a new pair!

Battery & Heating Check

A dead battery is always a pain, but when the temps are cold in the winter, being stranded can be downright dangerous. Our service center techs can check the health of your battery, and if you need a new one they'll order it for you. A good thing to remember to start doing is getting your battery checked after its three-years old. We can also check your heating system, because you definitely don't want to be in a chilly car once the temperatures drop.

Here are a few safety tips to also keep in mind during the winter:

  • Have an emergency car kit with you
  • Don't let you gas tank fall before 3/4 empty during the winter
  • Keep an extra set of gloves, hat, and even an old jacket in the car, just in case
  • Have a collapsible shovel and kitty litter on hand
  • Make sure you have some sort of roadside assistance coverage
  • When you're leaving to meet friends or family who live far away, give them an ETA so they can call someone if you haven't arrived and they haven't heard from you.

So, what are you waiting for? Come down to our service center soon so we can get you ready for a safe winter!
