The new Tacoma has two options to choose from for
the engine. The first is a 2.7-liter four-cylinder with a six-speed automatic
transmission and two-wheel-drive. It offers 159 horsepower, 180 pound-feet of
torque, and a towing capacity of 3,500 pounds.
The second engine option is the impressive
Atkinson-cycle 3.5-liter V6 with a six-speed transmission and all-wheel-drive.
It boasts 278 horsepower and 265 pound-feet of torque with a towing capacity of
6,400 pounds. If you add on the available Tow Package, your towing capacity
will be boosted to 6,800, and you will be able to carry a payload of up to
1,440 pounds.
For optimal handling, the Tacoma offers
Multi-Terrain Select with five different driving modes so you can tackle any
road conditions. Additionally, the BilsteinĀ® Shocks were made to absorb the
impact on even the most challenging terrain, and the Off-Road Crawl Control is
like an off-road co-pilot. So, go ahead - leave the pavement behind.
One of the best things about the Tacoma is that it
can adapt back and forth from the backbreaking work and sticky road conditions
of the country to the crowded stop-and-go bustle of the city. The horsepower,
available all-wheel-drive, Off-Road Crawl Control, and Multi-Terrain Select
give you everything you need for a hard day's work at the farm or a tailgate
get-together in the middle of nowhere.
